Maximum Ride is by James Patterson. Currently there are 5 books in the series. (Waterwings came out couple days ago) The story revolves around Max and her flock--mutated human that had avian genes. Meaning, they can fly. They escaped from this place called, the School, and have been living on there own for two years. Mostly on the run from the "bad guys". The series contains adventure, mystery, and a touch of romance. (OMG FANG AND MAX.)
I love this series. If I could ship a pair, it's definitely Fang and Max. My favorite characters are probably Fang, the Iggy, then Max, then etc. Fang=<3. But if he ends up with Max, that's fine with me. XD
